| The winner of the MLB All-Star Game, held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Yankee Stadium determined who has home-field advantage in the 2008 World Series. The American League won the All-Star Game and therefore the ALCS winner will host games 1 and 2 of the World Series with the NLCS winner to host games 3, 4 and 5. If the winner of this best-of-seven series is not determined once the fifth game is played, then the final game(s) will be played at the American League host city. |
